Ed was a terrific lineman for the Pioneers and lettered for three years at SHS. He went into the Navy and played football in the Japanese “Rice Bowls” for the 101st Airborne. After his discharge, he attended Rutgers University, where he starred as a two-way lineman for four years. He was regarded as one of the finest linemen in the East.
Pacilio Later went on to coach under HOF legend Boomy Malekoff for many years as the line coach. He played an integral part in helping coach the first undefeated and untied in school history in 1953. He later went on to be the first coach at Bridgewater-Raritan High School.
