Greene earned four letters in track and was an All Conference performer in the discus and shot put. A multiple year letterwinner in football he earned 1st team All County, All Conference, and All Area as a senior.  He was named to the AP and Star Ledger 1st team All State teams as an offensive tackle.  He was selected to the NJ Super 100 team as a senior.  He was ranked as the top offensive lineman and fifth best overall prospect in New jersey by Dennis McCarthy.  He was Tom Lemming All East selection and a Rivals.com All Region pick.  As a defensive lineman he had 66 tackles, three sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in his senior year.

Greene earned two letters at Syracuse on full scholarship and played in all 12 games as a sophomore blocking for Walt Reyes who rushed for 1,347 yards and 20 rushing touchdowns.  As a junior he started all 12 games on the offensive line that blocked for the first Syracuse duo to rush for 800 yards since 1979.  He graduated from Syracuse and was a member of the 2002 Fall and 2003 Spring Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
