Skip was a tight end and linebacker on several outstanding SHS football teams. He received All County, All Area, All Conference and All Groups 1st team honors and was elected to play in the NJ North/ South All Star Game. He received an academic/athletic scholarship to attend West Virginia University where he started for three years and won three varsity letters as a defensive lineman. He twice was named top weight lifter on the team. Skip played in three major bowl games, once for the national championship. He won the Mountaineer Award as top Lineman of the team by grading 80% of ore in 8 out of 11 games during the season.

Skip graduated from WVU and coached at Rutgers under Doug Graber. He coached for one year at Elizabeth High School under SHS Hall of Famer, Jerry Moore and in 1993 was named Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Rutgers where he is currently. He is recognized as one of the top college strength coaches in the nation. He lives in Somerset.
