Mike won eight letters in football, wrestling, and track while at SHS and captained all three teams. He received the Sam Yohn Medal as the Outstanding Senior Male Athlete in his senior year. Mike went to Glassboro State College (now Rowan University) where he won eight varsity letters in football and wrestling and captained both teams. He was All Conference in football and served as an Assistant Coach in his grad assistant year. He had a superb wrestling career with a record of 70 wins, 24 losses, 3 ties and 40 pins. He was a two time conference champ and an Eastern Regional champ.

In 1984 Mike placed 3rd in the NCAA Division III Championship and earned All American status. He was awarded the Albert White Award for Best Male Athlete at Glassboro. He was inducted into the Glassboro Hall of Fame in 1998. Mike has had an outstanding coaching career at SHS and is currently at Randolph High School. In 1990, he was voted District, Regional and Central Jersey Coach of the Year. He has the highest winning percentage og any coach in Randolph history.
