Dubiel won three varsity letters and captained the 11-0 football team in his senior year. He anchored one of the best defensive teams in SHS history. He was named Somerset County Defensive Player of the Year by the Home News. He was named first team in All Mid-State, All County, All Area, All Metropolitan, All State Group II and All State All Groups. Bill played in the NJ North/South All Star football game and received a scholarship to Rutgers. He won three varsity letters at Rutgers and co-captained the football team in his senior year. He received the prestigious Coaches Award for leadership and ability.

In wrestling at SHS, he won three varsity letters and the District 18 and Somerset County championships. He was co-captained in his senior year. In track, he won three varsity letters and was named to the All Mid-State first team. He set the school record which still stands at 164’ 10”. Bill received the award for earning the most varsity letters in his class. He is a leader in business today.
