A.J. Troisi was an All State quarterback while at SHS and St. Benedict’s Prep. He was also an outstanding basketball and baseball player.

A.J. was an All County (Captain) and an All State quarterback while at SHS. He also received the All Newark Award from St. Benedict’s in 1932 and a second All State Award. A.J. also received the 1930-31 All County Award in basketball.

At Albright College he excelled in football and basketball.

Receiving further recognition at college, A.J. was the freshman Q.B. in 1934, made the varsity team in 1935, also was All Conference in 1936. He was also All Conference in basketball in 1937.

As golf coach at Bridgewater-Raritan, A.J. won the Somerset County Award 14 times. His team won the NJSIAA District II Title seven times and the NJSIAA State Title once. Furthermore, his team won the MidState Conference title seven times.

He was a teacher and served as Athletic Director in the Bridgewater School District for many years. A.J. died in1986 and his wife Kathryn lives in Bridgewater.
